Yep I have been away from blogging for a LONG time!!! Maybe I will get back into posting regularly, maybe not. Only time will tell......
This post is going to be full of randomness so bare with me.
I received my Pink/Spring swap package from my sister, Arbee's, a few weeks ago, make that exactly one month. MoM and Dad went down for a visit so they played Mailman for us. It was the most awesomest package EVER!!! She totally put me to shame. I got the coolest/cutest apron in a cute pink flower print with a yellow gingham band around the bottom (I still can't bring myself to wear it since I don't want to ruin/stain it), pink measuring cups and spoons, pink spatulas, pink can opener, pink flower/daisy stamp(Cards anyone), Spill Proof Water Bottle, watermelon gum, the cutest plaid notebook which is now my food diary, Pretty in Pink on DVD, Nail Polish and remover pads, Rose pens handmade by her, Sour Patch Watermelon's, A Red Gerber Daisy plant that I have managed to still keep alive, and I am sure I am forgetting something. Its not on purpose I promise!!! (Sorry its taken so long to post about this sis, please don't take it personally at all!!!) Thank you for a rockin' swap!!! I LOVE EVERYTHING!!! I will also post pics as soon as I can get them off my camera.
On top of all that delight-fullness she also sent me the sweetest most thoughtful care package. I has a wisdom tooth pulled, it was already out just like a molar so no cutting was involved just pain, on June 18th. It included a pink bear ice pack (which ROCKS by the way), a washcloth, Chocolate/Vanilla Swirl Pudding, Advil, Applesauce in a pink package, and Gerber Daisy Seeds in an assortment of colors from her very own plants!!!! That was definitely one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for me. Thanks Sis. I really appreciate you doing that for me. You ROCK!!!
We had an awesome 4th. July 4th is my favorite holiday. Hubby and I went to see Public Enemies while my parents watched Turkey. It was okay I guess. Hubby and I agreed that it was only good because it was based on a true story. We had a great time though. A friend was supposed to come over that evening but she ended up having car trouble so it was just the 3 of us. Hubby grilled, and we swam and just hung out. We went to see fireworks but before we went over that way we decided to stop by Sonic and get drinks. We literally pulled into the school's parking lot that was near by and I kid you not as soon as we got parked they started. It was amazing!!! We were so close you could feel the ground shake and you too every time they went off. It had rained earlier in the day so it was chilly too. Turkey was "freezing" so she bundled up in a towel we had stashed in the car. I mean really?? Who thinks to bring a jacket in July??
Turkey, MoM, Dad, and I went to my brother's baby shower last weekend. We had a really good time and enjoyed every one's company. Baby Boy will be born sometime next month. I can't wait to meet this little guy.
Turkey has started taking another gymnastics class this summer. She is now part of the Level 3 team and will begin competing sometime early next year. She is very excited as are we but I hope she can still do the other things she wants to also. She will start Soccer in Sept. so hopefully she can handle both. We will see. We have told her that she can do whatever (within reason) as long as her attitude and grades don't start to slip. She will be a busy little girl this fall with 2 days of soccer with games on Saturday and also gymnastics 2 days a week. She is excited and if she or we ever decides its too much we won't hesitate to pull her from one or both. Until then, I think its good for her to have things to keep her busy, involved, and active.
I think that's about it for now. I am going to try really hard to get back into posting regularly with at least Thankful Thursday and My Husband Rocks posts.
